In the background is the big Seneca casino in downtown Niagara Falls. I thought it was ironic that I was standing in the parking lot of the Social Services building and looking across the street at the abandoned houses and in the background was the casino.The front of the building is all mirrored glass and it reflects the clouds and sky. It is beautiful. A lot of money is won and lost in that building. The Falls themselves are a couple blocks behind the casino. The mist or clouds that is seen in the sky are from the Falls.
Every year visitors come to see the Falls and try their luck at the casino. They say more than a million a year. Only ten odd blocks to the east, Niagara Falls is dead and dying.
