Welcome!

January 1, 2011 is the first day of a new year, and the second year I will try to attempt to post a photo every day for the next 365 days. It didn't work out so well last year. But as a New Years resolution, I have decided to try the 365 Day Photography challenge again.

151/365 Ski Board

The picture says it all. I thought it was cool.

150/365 Rusty Nails

This Memorial Day we are thinking about the many brave men and women who have given their lives for our freedom. We honor them with flowers on their white cross graves and gather to watch parades. But these rusty nails remind me of another man who gave his life for my freedom, freedom from sin and death...my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I understand that most of the people who died on my behalf, died for love of county. But Jesus went to the cross and died because he loved me.

149/365 Michigan State Flower

I know I've said it before...with all the rain we have had this spring, we can't help but have a good crop of this wonderful weed.

May 28, 2011

148/365 A Ball's Eye View

This reminds me so much of summer. It makes me wonder when summer will come. All we have had is rain and cold. I am not a big fun of 8o degrees but it is almost Memorial Day. It's time for a little warm weather.

May 27, 2011

147/365 Michigan Brews

My honey took to La Senorita's for lunch today and I was amazed at all the different Michigan beers there are. Way to go Michigan. O' the food was good too.

May 26, 2011

146/365 Sparty

I don't know why I like to take pictures of Sparty. I seem to take at least one every time I am on campus.

May 25, 2011

145/365 Ocho and Tara

Sometimes it's hard to take a picture of the two them together. Ocho is so dark and Tara is so white that one is washed out or the other you can't see his face. I never noticed how hard it is to get the lighting right with these two. You really can't see his eyes without making her too light.

May 24, 2011

144/365 My Lilac Bush

I love this lilac bush. It's on the side of my house and it smells so good. No matter where you stand in the yard, you can smell it. Sadly, it's only in bloom for about a week and then it's gone. We can enjoy it while it lasts.

May 23, 2011

143/365 Peppers

I have been working with Photo shop and came up with this. I think it turned out well. It's one of those days when you take a picture and it just doesn't seem to do anything for you...so you experiment.

May 22, 2011

142/365 Belmont Tower

Driving around the MSU campus today, I have always wanted a picture of Belmont. The Michigan State campus is one of the prettiest campus' in the nation...but I'm bias. I have lived in Lansing all my life.

May 21, 2011

141/365 Silly Little Carman

She has no problem looking cute at any angle. She is such a ham.

May 20, 2011

140/365 Shaggy Tulip

I have never seen this kind of tulip. We were out and about and I seen these tulips. I asked the owner if I could take pictures and she said yes. She didn't seem to think it was any big deal. Again, something I love.

May 19, 2011

139/365 Cup Cake...

I couldn't resist taking this picture. It seemed so right. It may not be a person, but it's still something I love.

May 18, 2011

138/365 My Andy

I am sensing a trend...I guess it's the week I post pictures of my kids and people I love. I am always giving him a hard time about not shaving. But when he does, he looks about 15.

May 17, 2011

137/365 My Patty

For some reason, pregnancy agrees with her. My daughter is due the 5th of August and we know it's a boy. She is leaning towards Parker Matthew. I think I will call him Parky...whether she likes it or not.

May 16, 2011

136/365 Matt and Tabby

This is one of the last pictures taken of Matt. It was taken over the summer or early fall 2008. Happy Birthday Buddy, you are missed. You should be 33.

May 15, 2011

135/365 A Special Little Girl

This is one of Tabatha's little girls...I don't know her name. I love close ups of little children. She was in need of a nap but didn't want to give up. I think she has such a cute little face. I couldn't help but take her picture.

May 14, 2011

134/365 Amber and Chris' Wedding

Patty and Tabatha decorating the happy couple's car. I can't post pictures from the wedding until the bride and groom have seen the pictures first. I was only helping out. I have known the happy couple since they were in jr. high. But I can post these two trouble makers.

May 13, 2011

133/365 Colored Pens...

I just think these pens are interesting. It's a little abstract but I still it.
It's one of those days. I have a wedding I am shooting this weekend so I have a lot on my plate. So I took a quick shot to have something to post.

May 12, 2011

132/365 Planting Time...Finally

The fields have been so wet with water standing, I am so happy the neighbor can finally get in the fields to start planting. It's a sure sign of Spring.

May 11, 2011

131/365 Old Friends

These are good old friends that I bought at Goodwill. The soles are coming apart but they're still holding up. I love these shoes. They are like all of my other old friends who stand by me no matter what. I praise God for my old friends.

May 10, 2011

130/365 Apple Blossoms

I love apple blossoms. Thom and I were visiting a friend and I seen this tree and had to get a photo of this flower. I see a trend started. People seem to like pictures of flowers, so I will try to supply as many as I can.

May 9, 2011

129/365 Inside a Tulip

I love to take close ups of all kinds of things. Flowers are my favorite. I also like the close up of my fingers too. I think tulips are my number one favorite flower.

May 8, 2011

128/365 Happy Mother's Day

I love tulips. Holland Michigan has the Tulip Fest every year on Mother's Day weekend. They have fields and fields of every color you can think of. It is simply beautiful.

May 7, 2011

127/365 Bright Yellow Flower

On another one of my flower assignments, I found this beautiful yellow daisy. I am happy for spring for all the great flower pictures to be taken.

May 6, 2011

126/365 Late Afternoon Visiters

I was surprised when, about 4:30pm, I seen these ducks in our front yard. They stayed for about 5 minutes. So I got a bunch of pictures. I knew if I had called Thom to see them, I would have missed taking their photos.

May 5, 2011

125/365 My Little Buddy Corwin.

We were visiting his grandparents today and Corwin was there also to visit. I love taking pictures of this little guy. He is growing so fast.

May 4, 2011

124/365 Another Old Barn

I remember when I was a child my parents drove by this barn on our way to my Aunt Evelyn's. It was a working barn back in the 50's and 60's. We drove by today and I was sad to see that it is now starting to fall down.

May 3, 2011

123/365 The Bee and The Flower

We were at the Post Office today and I seen a couple of flower bushes in the yard and I decided to take pictures of these bushes and seen this bee, busy at his work. I really did not bother him, just wanted to take his picture. He went about doing his thing and did not stop. I thought it was kind'a cool to see him.

May 2, 2011

122/365 Lonesome Train Tracks

We spent the last couple days in Lincoln and Harrisville Michigan. We went there to check out the church that we will be doing vacation bible school in August. The economy in northeast Michigan is not good. Jobs are limited in this area. To me these train tracks symbolize the economy in Michigan in general.

121/365 My Church Buddies

Linda had her grandson and Amber had her daughter at church today. I thought they made wonderful photo subjects.
