Welcome!

January 1, 2011 is the first day of a new year, and the second year I will try to attempt to post a photo every day for the next 365 days. It didn't work out so well last year. But as a New Years resolution, I have decided to try the 365 Day Photography challenge again.

February 28, 2010

59/365 Ashley, Lauren and Friend...

The girls were being funny and wanted their picture taken with their "friend".

February 27, 2010

58/365 Morning Work Out

My husband likes to feed wild birds and a passing deer. This little guy is really working for a meal. It makes me wonder if I would work this hard for a free meal?

57/365 Safe and Secure...

I came across these buses last night on my way home. I never rode a bus when I was in school. I lived in town and could walk. The bus lot seemed so secure. We haven't had much trouble with people doing damage to buses like in other areas.
I liked the top picture and way the light reflected using a flash. It's almost "ghost" like. The bottom picture was taken without a flash using only existing light.
I just thought the way the light played on the snow was kind of cool. People driving by thought I was crazy.

56/365 We Have Puppies

Beebe gave birth to two healthy puppies, a male and a female. She disappeared and I when I found her, we had puppies. They are nursing nicely and getting the hang of it all.

She did it all by herself and being the first time...we lost two.

February 24, 2010

55/365 Red Berries

A little bit of life in the middle of winter. The red was a surprize.

February 23, 2010

54/365 Propeller Ears...

Met the newest member of our dog family. This is Tucker. He is one of the most affectionate dogs I've ever seen. I think I have found my forever dog.

February 22, 2010

53/365 For Sale By Owner...

The small sign says, "For Sale By Owner". My husband and I thought it was funny that God was selling His house.

February 21, 2010

52/365 Pony Keg...

Thom thinks Beebe's belly looks like a... She is getting bigger and more uncomfortable. These pictures were taken two weeks apart. She's due March 1.

February 20, 2010

51/365 Old Fifty-One...

One of the many things that my husband collects are old toys. This is a close-up of a metal crane. It is also the 51st day of my 365 day photographic challenge. So I thought it was appropriate.

February 19, 2010

50/365 Lines and Patterns...

I liked the look of the back of the motel on a sunny winter day.

February 18, 2010

49/365 Going Home...

After 28 days, Thom is going home. It's been a long, lonely month for me. I am happy to have him home.

February 17, 2010

48/365 A Different View Of Winter...

I was walking out of a business and happened to see this scene. I thought it was interesting. It seemed to beg to be taken. Day 28.

February 16, 2010

47/365 A Bit of Orange...

A bit of orange on an otherwise dull winter day. Day 27.

February 15, 2010

46/365 Old Western Poster...

I found this poster in a steak house the other day. I thought it was kind of cool. Besides, who wouldn't want to have a "Rootin' Tootin' Good Time"...once in a while? Day 26.

February 14, 2010

45/365 Gooses On a Sunny Afternoon...

I can not imagine being in that water. Don't these gooses feel the cold? Don't their back sides get cold? I get cold just thinking about how cold that water must be. They didn't seem to mind.

These were gooses who were just hanging out in the river by my house. Yes, there is ice in the river. This photo was too good to pass up. Day 25.

February 13, 2010

44/365 Laces...

There are times in life when you have to stop waiting for things to happen and do something about it. Even if you're the best photographer (or Counselor) around, if no one has ever heard of you they are not going to hire you. So lace up your skates and get out there and do some figure eights. You will be noticed. Day 24.

February 12, 2010

43/365 Flu Season and All...

I'm not sure if I believe all the hype about the H1N1 scare, but I have hand sanitizer available at my house for guests. I haven't gotten a flu shot this year and will not. My doctor is not very happy with me. My dad said years ago that when he got a flu shot, he always got sick. I think I will chance it. Day 23.

February 11, 2010

42/365 A Lovely Face...

Our Beebe is pregnant. She is due the first of March. Day 22.

February 10, 2010

41/365 Global Warming...

I love this Global Warming...what a mess. Driving is too much fun. I just think it's funny that we are not hearing about this subject in the middle of a snow storm. A Winter Snow Warning for last night and today. Day 21.

February 9, 2010

40/365 He Bakes...

As part of Thom's rehab, he has to show that he can stand or set for 20 minutes and work around the house. He made cookies. They were very good. He was able to go to church this past Sunday and then to lunch. He should be coming home soon. Day 20.

February 8, 2010

39/365 Waiting for His Turn...

Cisco waiting for Dad to give him the plate. I took this picture before Thom went into the hospital three weeks ago. I liked looking over Cisco's head. Day 19.

February 6, 2010

37/365 Lines and Curves of a Guitar

If you don't like what you see, move closer. Take the guitar photo above; it makes it more interesting by moving closer. Day 17.

February 5, 2010

36/365 Always Watching...

I took Beebe to visit Thom. She stands guard for her daddy. Nothing ever gets by her. She is always ready. Day 16

February 4, 2010

35/365 My Favorite Place on Earth...

Elderly Instruments in Lansing. This shop is known the world over for their mail order business. I like to go into the store and play their expense instruments. I am told that Jeff Daniels has been seen there, among others.

I am told to take pictures of things that I love. I play a Martin guitar. Day 15.

February 3, 2010

34/365 Late Afternoon Light

It was a late sunny afternoon and between the sun and the snow, the dinning room was a wash with color. This is using the existing light coming through the patio door. Day 14.

February 2, 2010

33/365 He Stands...

This is the first time Thom has walked in 13 days.

February 1, 2010

32/365 New Life

I have never had a Christmas cactus bloom before. I am not doing anything to it, but watering it. It sets by an outside, west window. Day 12.
